The objectives of this research project are formulated as a Phase 1 survey research study, following which subsequent developmental activities will be pursued depending on NiDAs ability to source further research and development funds from IDRC or other donor agencies or from government resources.
The main objectives of the survey research are:
Collect information on the current use of ICT by Cambodian Small and Medium Enterprises (CSMEs).
Collect information of existing infrastructure including hardware, software, applications use in CSMEs.
Collect information of ICT training needed.
Produce a comprehensive report for national action plan to promote CSMEs.
Promote awareness of the need to compete in the global market.
Suggest initial recommendations for the formulation of the national action plan.
